Who we are

The Roma Education Center works as a capacity buliding and educational organization with a national outreach. The center is located in an elementaty school in Nové Mesto nad Váhom and coordinates a youth club on the school grounds, which is managed by the school assistant. Working with the Youth in Action Program, the organization aims to increase the mobility of Roma youth. The Roma Education Center focuses on non-formal education methods. The center successfully realized several international youth exchanges, trainings and seminars and became a partner of the National Youth Agency concerning methodological and conceptual questions related to inclusion and mobilty of Roma youth. Roma and Non-Roma professionals and volunteers work together in pedagogical, cultural and social fields, dedicated to improve the social situation of Roma in Slovakia.
